The former president's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star boasts considerable social media following
Kai Trump will have plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially suggested to compete and relax," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in only three events this year and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials stated that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically with the next generation.
Kai has a massive following and just introduced her own fashion and living label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
