Administration Decries 'Democrat Fabrication' as Additional Epstein Estate Images Disclosed
House Democrats have published a new tranche of what they labeled "disturbing" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a minuscule portion of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the actions and ties of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking charges.
Prominent Personalities in the Images
Among the prominent personalities shown in the initial batch are public figures including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are redacted.
White House Response
The White House reacted to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of selectively "hand-picking" the photographs for electoral motives and to "seek to establish a false account."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," an administration official stated, asserting that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by repeatedly calling for disclosure, releasing reams of documents, and urging additional probes into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Democratic Lawmaker Remarks
The images were disclosed without context, but as stated by a California Democrat and ranking member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's connections to wealthy individuals.
"The moment has come to end this White House concealment and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he said in a release.
The disclosure of these materials coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its investigation into the affair.
